Multiple BSOD's ranging from Mini-dump's to crash-dumps - ready to return my computer
Hi everyone,
I got a new computer and had it built at Best Buy. I typically build myself, but my work schedule is insane, so now I regret it. I don't have large windows of time to troubleshoot the issue, but I have saved many crash files and have kept track of the event log errors. Any help one can provide would be most appreciated. I can't run more than a few apps at a time, or issues will arise. I can barely open my graphics applications Capture ONE, DxO Photolab 7, and Adobe Ps. They all have crash logs, too, but as you'll see below, the BSODs are caused by multiple issues, not just one application.
Troubleshooting steps taken
- Steps I've taken (in some cases multiple times):
- DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth
- DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
- DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
- sfc /scannow
- CHKDSK /R on all volumes
- Updated Graphics driver with the latest GeForce RTX 4080 Super Aero OC 16G driver.
- Updated iCUE apps
- Updated Windows
- I created a new user profile and delprof.exe my old one.
- MemTest86 - Didn't run GPU MemTest, but took it back to Best Buy where they ran complete hardware tests and claimed the hardware was fine. They couldn't troubleshoot further.
- I changed the BIOS to disable advanced settings for graphics and verified that TPM settings were set to Gygabyte's recommendations.

2024-08-26T18:49:08+00:00 Thanks; I'll add these to my checklist of things to run with. Malwarebytes hasn't caused issues before, but it's best to rule it out.

2024-08-26T02:43:27+00:00 Hello, Damn Desert
Welcome to Microsoft Community.
Sounds like you’re dealing with a pretty tricky and annoying issue. Sometimes, software like Malwarebytes can cause conflicts. Try disabling or uninstalling it temporarily to see if that helps. Windows Security usually does a good job on its own.
Another thing you can try is a clean boot. This starts Windows with only the essential drivers and programs, which can help you figure out if a background service or program is causing the problem. It might seem a bit complicated at first, but just follow the steps one by one.

If all else fails, you might need to do a clean install of Windows. This can help eliminate any software issues that might be causing the crashes. Just make sure to back up your important files first.
