Alternative or additional preliminary drive tests:
Most HP computers come with preinstalled HP hardware diagnostics. These are old versions and can be updated.
If they were not updated the older version can be used for drive testing. Alternatively a bootable flash drive with free space can be used to run the most up to date HP UEFI hardware diagnostics.
For the default HP UEFI hardware diagnostics power on the computer and repetitively click F2 or F10 > take pictures > post images or share links displaying the tests performed with results
For the most up to date HP UEFI hardware diagnostics find a bootable flash drive with free space and a working Windows computer.
Download onto the bootable flash drive with free space:
HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI – v10.6.0.0 https://support.hp.com/us-en/help/hp-pc-hardware-diagnostics
Move the bootable flash drive to the problematic computer.
Power on the problematic computer and repetitively click F9.
Select the bootable flash drive > run the HP UEFI Hardware diagnostics > take pictures > post images or share links
What is the computer make / model?
Can the computer boot Windows?
If yes > Sea Tools Windows
If no > Sea Tools bootable
Test all drives using Sea Tools Long generic test > take pictures > post images or share links
