    As Windows 24H2 is already public released to Copilot+ PC's (ARM based devices) it should be quite stable by now and it's almoset ready for official release for Intel and AMD based decvices later this year.

    Generally those montly updares are small and safe quality and safety updates to fix discovered bugs and improve Windows security.

    I did clean install of 24H2 as soon as it was released to insiders and all monthly updates are completed without any issues.

    If you check updates you should have build 26100.1301 and all you need to do now is to check updates when those are released.

    Monthly updates are released on second Tuesday of the month so this month update will be released today.

    Ok, that's Pelease Preview channel build so you can kick your device out of insider program just deleting one key from registry.

    When you have delete that key you don't get any previews, but you get monthly updates. Next one will be released today.

    1. Open open regedit (push Win key and type regedit).
    2. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsSelfHost
    3. On left panel right click that key and delete it.
    4. Close regedit and restar
    5. Check for updates to get latest C.U.

    No, it is not necessary as long as you don't mind waiting til the when 24H2 is official released.

    Ok, if you have released preview, that sounds right, it is now queued up for unenrollment. It is not an immediate leave. It will roll into production version when Windows releases the next major update, that shoudl be around Sept or Oct when 24H2 comes out.

    Hello, this is Emily.

    Hello, this is Emily.

    How long ago did you opt into the Insider version? Also, what channel are you on? For example, beta, dev or canary?

    If this happened less than 10 days ago, you can go to Settings > System> Recovery to go back to normal Windows.

    If 10 days have passed, it will depends on what channel you are on.

    If you're in the Beta Channel or the Release Preview Channel, you can flip the switch to stop getting preview builds on your device when the next major release of Windows launches to the public.

    If you are on Dev or Canary version, a clean install is a must.

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windowsinsider/...

    I will include a clean install instruction here in case you need it:

    ================

    To perform a clean installation of Windows 11 using the Windows Media Creation Tool. You do need to get access to another computer so you can download the Windows installation files into a flash drive, then use the flash drive to help your computer. Hopefully you have a spare computer, or you can have friend or family help you.

    The following steps should be done on a working Windows computer:

    Download the Windows Media Creation Tool from Microsoft's official website. https://www.microsoft.com/software-download/win... click on the "download now" button under "Create Windows 11 Installation Media"

    Run the tool and select "Create installation media for another PC."

    Choose "USB flash drive" as the media to use for the installation and select "Next."

    Connect a USB flash drive with at least 8 GB of free space to your computer.

    Select the USB flash drive you want to use, and then select "Next."

    The tool will then download the required files and create the installation media.

    =====================================================

    Now these steps will be done on your problematic computer:

    Go to the computer's BIOS boot menu to have it boot from the USB drive.

    Follow the on-screen instructions to install Windows 11, making sure to choose "Custom install" and select the option to delete all existing partitions.

    Once the installation is complete, you'll have a clean installation of Windows 11 on your computer.
