I just finished with a cumulative update from MS..

When laptop restarted my eight shortcuts on Chrome homepage were all in one row

Prior to the update restart they were in two rows of four.

How do i fix this and PLEASE do not send me to Google forum.

Somehow the update caused this and it's not the first time. I don't remember how to correct it. I have customize settings set to "show my shortcuts" but it's not helping.

don't see appropriate category

Thanks

Hello Paula, I'm pretty sure I'm late to the party of answers ,but if you didn't get a fix or if some else needs it I've come to give a new answer.

If you go to chrome://flags/#ntp-modules-redesigned on the chrome flags and disable it should go back to normal. If not then it is possible that the other flags i have disabled helped with it.

It's 1000% a chrome issue, they've decided that we as the end user no longer want 2 rows. I HATE the single row as well.

Hello Paula, sorry about your problems. My name is Marco and I will do my best to help you.

    Open Google Chrome.
On the new tab page (where your shortcuts are displayed), look for a pencil icon or three dots that usually indicate customization options.
Click on this icon to open the customization settings for your new tab page.
Look for an option related to ‘Shortcuts’ or ‘Most visited sites.’
Within this menu, there might be settings to adjust how many shortcuts are displayed or how they are arranged.
If available, select an option that allows displaying more than one row of shortcuts.

If these steps do not resolve your issue:
Try resizing your browser window to see if it affects how many rows of shortcuts are displayed.

First of all my aplogies. Chrome was updating around the same time as the MS update. The customiza does not work on this, at least not when it first gets scrambled AGAIN as it is now. I'm familiar with your suggestion but when this happened before there was a flag in chrome NTP something that I had to disable to fix this. They have since removed the flag. Resizing the browser won't do anything. even removing some don't[ help. every time i relaunch the browser it's all in one row again.
