I'm having random crashes in-game. Some games that have crashed are Ghost of Tsushima, Elden Ring, Horizon Forbidden West, Red Dead Redemption 2, GTA V etc.

Currently playing Elden Ring, this is the latest app error report from Windows Event Viewer:

PC SPECS [Everything is running on stock settings, No OC has been done]

  • OS: Windows 11 Pro | 23H2 | Build: 22631.3958
  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X 8-Core Processor | 3.80 GHz
  • RAM: 32GB (16x2) [XMP: OFF]
  • GPU: RTX 3080 FE

THINGS I HAVE TRIED THAT DIDN'T FIX THE ISSUE:

  • Verified the game files
  • Disabled antivirus
  • Set my 165hz monitor to 60hz
  • Removed any external drives/usb devices
  • Made sure my sound quality was 16 bit, 44100Hz (CD Quality)
  • Tried turning off V-sync, threaded optimization, and triple buffering off in my graphics settings
  • sfc /scannow | No errors
  • Reinstalled the games
  • Reinstalled steam
  • Preformed a check disk
  • Preformed a memtest86 3 times | No errors
  • Manually set virtual memory | Still crashes (changed to default)
  • Preformed a clean boot
  • Updated Windows
  • Reinstalled graphics driver (Removed using DDU in safe mode)
  • In-place update Windows 11
  • Update BIOS to the latest version from the manufacturer's website
  • Run the games in compatibility mode for Windows 8
  • Run them all as an administrator
  • Run Steam as an administrator
  • Repaired C++ redist
  • Tried playing offline

Searching the ntdll.dll error showed me some results to reinstall the dll by running CMD as admin and typing the following  commands:

regsvr32.exe /u ntdll.dll and press Enter key (this will uninstall the file)

regsvr32.exe ntdll.dll and press Enter key (this will reinstall the file).

Got an error message for both saying:

The module "ntdll.dll" was loaded but the entre-point DllRegisterServer was not found. Make sure that "ntdll.dll" is a valid DLL or OCX file and then try again.

Please Help!

    Hello, react117

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community

Thanks for your feedback. I read the information you provided. Crashes occur when you play games

I noticed that you have tried many methods, but the problem still exists. This is really frustrating. I have reviewed the methods you have tried in detail. You can also try turning off kernel isolation, which may help. Here are the methods.

Click the "Start" button on the taskbar, and then select "Settings".

In Settings, select "Update & Security", and then select "Windows Security Center".

In the Windows Security Center, click "Device Security" in the left menu.

On the Device Security page, find the "Kernel Isolation" section and click "Kernel Isolation Details".

On the Kernel Isolation Details page, you will see the "Memory Integrity" option. Switch it to "Off".

After turning off memory integrity, you may need to restart your computer to apply the changes.

If you try the above methods and the problem still exists, we are sorry that we can't provide you with more methods at this time. You may want to consider reinstalling Windows, which will solve most problems. How to clean install Windows, you can refer to the link below,

Disclaimer: Let's try to perform a clean installation. If there is important data in the computer, we still recommend backing it up in advance.

Hello, I did all the steps you mentionoed and unfortunately this did not work. I just formatted my nvme completely and reinstalled windows 11. Installed amd chipset driver from manufacturer's website, installed the latest nvidia driver (just the driver no geforce experience) and the game. It still crashes after 30 minutes of gameplay. Also I have checked the temps, everything is under 75c.

I was able to find a .dmp file inside C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\dumps. Here's the.dmp file.

Can you please have a look at it?
