I have many students signup Free Student accounts. While they are creating VM using Size Standard B1s for Windows server, but all the sizes are not available. The region is US East. My students also tried regions US East 2, US West, etc. But no luck. Do you think there is a service outage for VM sizes? How can I check the outage exist or not? In addition, my students' Subscriptions do not have " Production Infrastructure" It only listed as Azure for Students. Could that be an issue? Thanks.

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Q&A platform. Happy to answer your question.

Azure for Students gives you 100 USD credit for 12 months and access to more than 25 free products, including compute, network, storage, and databases. So, if you want to create new VMs under the student account, you will see B1s burstable virtual machines. Some of my students used the links to check health status and get "Reader Subscription" Maybe that is why no Sizes Standard B1s available. Is there any link from Azure I can report wrong Subscription status? It seems initial Student Free account image mapping has issue. Thanks.

    Hi,

I am using the Azure free trial account and I also have not the possibility to choose B1s to start a VM, although this VM is stated to be available for 750 hours in the description of the Azure trial.
I have tried every every region that has a note to be entitled to free services.
