Can you provide me with the specific error message that happened?

In the meantime, make sure you're using the right Microsoft account. Also, do you remember any location where you saved the recovery key?

It’s possible that you were unaware of having a Bitlocker recovery key, especially during a Windows update or setup process.

Is your device connected to a work or school network? If it is, the recovery key might be stored in your organization’s Azure Active Directory.

If it’s not, let’s try reverting back your system before the update. Use the System Restore feature on your device.

Hello Bell, I'm Johrelle a fellow Windows/Microsoft user. I'm happy to assist you.

The Recovery Key ID is a unique identifier associated with your BitLocker recovery key. Here's how to use it to recover access to your drive:

    1. Open the Microsoft Account website here:https://account.microsoft.com/devices/recoverykey
    2. Use the same Microsoft Account that you used to set up BitLocker on your computer.

3.Input the Recovery Key ID that's displayed on the BitLocker screen on your computer.

4.Follow the instructions provided to obtain your BitLocker recovery key.

5.Enter the recovery key on your computer to unlock the drive and regain access to your data.
