Seriously now ... the question is "how to find credentials" and you explain how to edit them!?
    No wonder why ...

I have the same issue as JohnGalt8. I am connecting my house computer to a computer in my remote location. Using the Remote Desktop Connection app, I can get control of my house computer from the remote computer, but it doesn't accept the same password when I try to get control of the remote computer with the house computer. Both are on a Microsoft account and I would think the same password would work for either direction.

When entering the credentials password, is that the Microsoft Account password, or is it some other password?

Surprised that it works one direction, but not the other direction. Unfortunately, I need it to work in the other direction.

I must have a different version that you as I do not have the options you describe. My version shows 10.0.22621. Is there a newer version that for Win 11 Pro that you are aware of? Thanks for your time.

"Credentials: Switch to the “General” tab. Here, in the “Advanced” section, you will see the “Credentials” section. From here, you can correct your existing credentials or add new ones."

    I'm running Windows 10 Pro Version: 22H2; Build: 19045.4529.

I do not have an Advanced section on the General tab, nor is there any reference to "credentials" on my General tab.

I do have an Advanced tab, but that does not have any option for "credentials".

I'm trying to connect my desktop PC to my laptop - both in the same building, my home.

How do I find out what User and Password Remote Desktop is looking for?

Do each of my computers have to have a different User name?

What if I do not have a Password on my computers?
