Temporarily rectified by restarting the 'File Explorer" process via Task Manager. I do this about every hour as the problem continues to occur.

Troubleshooting Steps completed thus far:

  1. Ran windows troubleshooters - no errors found, problem persists
  2. Deleted and Reinstalled all drivers I could find -problem persists
  3. Completed 'Reset PC' with Cloud Download option from Recovery section of SETTINGS - problem persists

Hi Aiden_sullivan. My name is Ivan, and I am an Independent Assessor. I'd be more than happy to assist you. I'm so sorry that you are experiencing this issue. Don't worry, I'll do everything I can to help you.

Given the persistence of the issue after a clean install, it's highly likely that we're dealing with a hardware-related issue, possibly with the GPU or its interaction with the system.

    1. Isolate the GPU: Try using your CPU's integrated graphics (if available). If the issue goes away, confirm that there's a problem with the GPU.
    • If possible, test the GPU in another system to rule out a faulty GPU.
    1. Check for overheating: Monitor GPU temperatures under load. Overheating can cause various display issues. Ensure proper airflow and clean the GPU fans and heatsink.
    2. Try different display cables (HDMI, DisplayPort, etc.) to rule out cable issues.
    • Test the system with a different monitor to rule out a monitor issue.
    1. Check for BIOS updates on the MSI website. An outdated BIOS can cause compatibility issues at times.
    2. Use Windows Memory Diagnostic to check your RAM for errors.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, you may need to contact MSI or AMD support for further assistance.

Let me know if you have any other questions
