In Media Player, file browser does not recognize .vob files, even when "All file types" is selected. And if you look at the specific list of file types, .vob is not one of them. I hate it when people waste my time with glib, useless answers.

2024-02-26T07:32:14+00:00 Hello ,
Good to see you in Microsoft Community.
VOB files are a type of video file format found on DVD video discs. VOB serves as the primary container format for DVD video files, containing data such as video, audio, subtitles, and DVD menus. Typically, VOB files store the actual content of DVD videos, including movies, TV shows, concerts, etc.
VOB files commonly use the MPEG-2 video codec to compress video data for playback on DVD video players. They may also include AC3 or DTS audio streams, as well as DVD subtitles and menu information. VOB files typically have the file extension ".vob".
To play VOB files, you can use video players that support DVD formats, such as VLC Media Player or Windows Media Player. Additionally, VOB files can be used in video editing software, or they can be converted to other common video formats using video conversion software.
If anything is unclear, please do not hesitate to let me know.
