You are not alone. Many of us have this issue with no solution for around one year now. Super annoying.
Airpods Pro 2 Mic doesn't work on Windows 11
My Airpods Pro 2 work perfectly fine when I'm listening to something on my laptop but when it comes to speaking through the microphone during online meetings its just blank.
I've tried all possible fixes for this problem prior to posting this but it still hasn't been fixed.
My Airpods do show up as "Connected mic, audio" but the mic just doesn't work.
Any fix for this would be appreciated.

2024-10-28T10:46:24+00:00 Hey CK7831,
I’m not sure if you’re still looking for a solution but I found out the problem that was causing the AirPods mic to not work.
It’s when you change the AirPods mic to always left or always right on your iPhone.
So the solution to get the mic working again :
1] Remove/Forget the AirPods connection from the bluetooth section on all your devices (iPhone and Windows).
2] On Windows, Go to device manager and uninstall everything that has your AirPods name in it.
3] Restart the Device and also reset your AirPods (hold the button for around 10-15 secs, first it will turn to amber at around 10 secs and then white.)
4] Then just reconnect on both your devices again. This time don’t change the Microphone setting on your iPhone ( keep it default which is “Automatically Switch AirPods”.
Let me know if it works!

Under the "Input" section, you should see your AirPods listed. Click on the three dots (...) next to the AirPods entry.
In the pop-up menu, select "Set as Default Communication Device".

Go to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Devices and Printers. Right-click on your AirPods and select Properties.
Go to the Services tab and uncheck the Hands-free Telephony option.
Or try Control Panel -> Hardware and Sound -> Sound -> Communications -> Select Option "Do Nothing".

2024-06-06T14:33:56+00:00 Hi K0MB,
Thanks for the reply.
As you mentioned the airpods might not be automatically set as default, for this I already have tried those steps made it my default input device and the results are still the same.
As for forgetting the device & pairing it again, I might have done it over 10 times by now it doesn't help either.
And I can confirm all softwares and firmwares are up to date.
