Windows-Security-LessPrivilegedAppContainer Filling Event Log

Anonymous

I keep getting this error in my event log and can't figure out the source of it. When it occurs, there will be nearly a thousand events logged for the given time. When I look up the associated PID in Task Manager, it lists the Runtime Broker (C:\Windows\System32\RuntimeBroker.exe -Embedding). The Security UserID corresponds to my standard user account.

Yes, thank you for your response. I haven't had another instance of the error since updating the Microsoft Store apps, so I'm pretty confident the problem is solved.

I figured out that the Microsoft Store automatic updates feature is not working even though it is turned on. I had to manually tell it to update all apps. I haven 't seen the issue again yet, so hopefully the problem is fixed.

It's an intermittent problem, so trying to isolate the culprit by selectively turning off different apps is largely unreliable. I was hoping there was a way in some log somewhere of cross-referencing the error to a specific app.

    Hello, Jon(S)

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community.

Hello, thank you for sharing the information, it seems that your event log has an error related to the security center.

From the information you have shared, it can be seen that some applications or components have triggered the security center exception. May I ask when your problem began? Have you installed any third-party software recently? You can try to uninstall it first and then observe.

You can also refer to the following thread to run the program one by one after a clean startup to see when the frequent errors start.

How to perform a clean boot in Windows - Microsoft Support

Disclaimer: A “clean boot” starts Windows with a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. It helps to determine whether a background service is interfering with your game or program and to isolate the cause of a problem.

These steps of "clean boot" might look complicated at first glance. However, to avoid any trouble for you, please follow them in order and step-by step so that it will help you get back on track.

    Best regards
