I found an actual solution that worked for me. It didn't bother to tell me that I had too many devices linked on my Microsoft account but that WILL pop up if you go to the actual store page for Minecraft (not the launcher). For me it popped up and allowed me to unlink older devices, if it doesn't you can always just go to your Microsoft account.
Acquiring license error in Microsoft Store
I just bought a game, and after trying to install it many times I keep getting stuck at acquiring license error, before failing the installation. I have updated my computer, ran sfc /scannow, unistalled microsoft store, and it still doesn't work. it may have to do with the fact that i somehow have two different microsoft accounts under the same email on my computer. not sure how that even happened.

2024-06-27T16:55:42+00:00 Hi Brett,
Sorry to hear that you still having issues here are some more steps to try.
Step 4: Check Microsoft Account Settings
Since you mentioned having two Microsoft accounts under the same email, it might be causing conflicts.
Go to Settings > Accounts > Email & accounts.
Ensure you are signed in with the correct Microsoft account.
If you see duplicate accounts, try removing the incorrect one. You can do this by selecting the account and clicking Manage or Remove.
Step 5: Sign Out and Sign In Again
Open the Microsoft Store.
Click on your profile icon in the upper-right corner.
Select your account and click Sign out.
Sign in again with the correct Microsoft account.
Step 6: Check Time and Date Settings
Incorrect time and date settings can cause issues with the Microsoft Store.
Go to Settings > Time & language > Date & time.
Ensure that Set time automatically and Set time zone automatically are turned on.
Step 7: Troubleshoot Microsoft Store
Windows has a built-in troubleshooter that can help fix issues with the Microsoft Store.
Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot.
Click on Additional troubleshooters.
Select Windows Store Apps and run the troubleshooter.
Step 8: Reset Microsoft Store
Resetting the Microsoft Store can help resolve persistent issues.
Go to Settings > Apps.
Find Microsoft Store in the list and click on it.
Click on Advanced options.
Scroll down and click on Reset.
Step 9: Verify Game License
Ensure that the game is correctly licensed to your Microsoft account.
Open the Microsoft Store.
Go to Library and check if the game appears under Owned.
Step 10: Contact Microsoft Support
If none of the above steps work, it might be best to contact Microsoft Support for further assistance. They can check for any account-specific issues that might be causing the problem.
If you need any further assistance or additional solutions, feel free to ask!

2024-06-27T02:43:12+00:00 Hi Brett,
Dealing with license errors in the Microsoft Store can be quite frustrating, especially when you've already tried several troubleshooting steps. Let's try to address the issue step by step.
Step 1: Check for Windows Updates
Ensure that your Windows is up to date. Sometimes, pending updates can cause issues with the Microsoft Store.
Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
Click on Check for updates and install any available updates.
Step 2: Clear Microsoft Store Cache
Clearing the cache can resolve many issues with the Microsoft Store.
Press Win + R to open the Run dialog.
Type wsreset.exe and press Enter.
A command prompt window will open and close automatically. Once it closes, the Microsoft Store will open.
Step 3: Re-register the Microsoft Store
Sometimes re-registering the Microsoft Store can fix licensing issues.
Open PowerShell as an administrator. (Press Win + X and select Windows PowerShell (Admin))
Type the following command and press Enter:
Get-AppxPackage -allusers Microsoft.WindowsStore | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}Let me know how this goes if doesn't work I have more steps.
