My old Dell laptop is WRECKED after the last windows update a couple of days ago. It was working fine the day before update. Now it has reverted to taking 20 - 25 minutes to boot. Within a few minutes of opening a browser - Brave or Firefox both display the message 'Not Responding'.

Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

    Open the Settings App.

Go to Update and Security - Windows updates.

Select 'View update history', then click 'Uninstall Updates'.

Can you find that update that caused the problems and uninstall it from there?

Thank you soooo much for your response. Unfortunately, my browser kept freezing before I could find & initiate uninstall. I also remembered we had a wicked storm - very strong winds, one ginormous thunder clap & a bolt of lightning, a LOT of rain, power out - blow thru here the day before my computer problem started. I tried resetting the modem 2ce but that didn't fix it. I called my service provider today & he concluded there 's probably a problem in the line coming into my house. Tech to be here this Wed. Thanks again for your reply😊
