LaserJet Pro M402dne driver for Windows11

I have a LaserJet Pro M402dne printer that was working great until updating to Windows 11, now it only shows an error when I try to print. When I try to download a new driver, it only goes up to Windows 10. Why is there not a Windows 11 driver available for this? Is our office supposed to throw all of our printers away and buy new ones?

Hello, I have a similar printer. Mine has the touch screen thingy comes in handy.

I would think that the printer could be offline and in sleep mode. To get the printer online you can try restarting the printer using the power button on the printer. You can try to use the usb cable that came with the printer or a eathernet cord to connect with the printer. Also there should be an app in the MS store that you can try. To see if your printer is online you can try to login to the pinter via ip address. I set my printers ip address to be"static". If you are having a hard time finding the pinters ip address it should be listed on the router. The router is sometimes http:\192.168.0.1 Login there to check for ip address.

A full power off and power on of printer then a power off and power on of PC can oddly help refresh the PC for finding devices. [full shutdown]

Set PC to allowed for discovery.

    Hello Kathy, this is Emily.

Unfortunately driver is not provided by Microsoft. It is provided by each hardware manufacturer. If HP decided they no longer provide driver for this model to align with Windows update, there's nothing Microsoft could do about it. Sorry.

In some cases, you might be able to install the Windows 10 driver anyway. Yes, to Windows, it is considered an outdated driver, but from time to time, that might still work - may not support all of the feature, but it doesn't hurt to give that a try.
