Disk Management not loading

Disk Management is not loading the disks. It says "connecting to virtual disk service".

    I'm Christine, I'll be happy to assist you. Looks like your Disk Management is not loading. No worries, I'll do my best to help you.

    May I know when did the issue start? Is there any changes made before you got this issue?

    May I know the version or build of Windows that you're running? (Please press Windows key+R and type winver and hit enter)

    Please check and follow the steps below:

    1. Update Windows

    1. Restart the Disk Management Service

    Please press Windows key + R, and type services.msc Hit Enter. This will open the Windows Services Manager. Please scroll down and look for Virtual Disk service. Double click on it, and then choose Automatic for this and click on Apply, then OK. Please click on the Start button to start the Service,

    Please check if the issue persists.

    In Services I changed Virtual Disk Service to automatic, and restarted computer. The problem is persisting.

    Got it. Thanks for sharing that information. Kindly try to follow the steps above and if the issue persists, let's try to perform System Restore and choose the restore point where everything is working perfectly.

    The problem started very recently. I was using Disk Management a few days ago.
