Whenever I play roblox I get error 268 unexpected client error, i have tried using command prompt to reset network, I have uninstalled and reinstalled roblox, it still has not worked. I have been getting this error since yesterday, but I have had the same problem before and had to wait almost half a year before I finally decided to reset windows, which had worked, but made me have to reinstall and set up many apps. Is there any way to fix this problem without reseting windows? I am on windows 11 insider edition

Hi, Sam. My name is Ivan, and I am an Independent Assessor. I'd be more than happy to assist you. I'm so sorry that you are experiencing this issue. Don't worry, I'll do everything I can to help you.

Error 268 in Roblox usually indicates an unexpected client issue, often related to software conflicts, network issues, or even temporary server issues. While restarting Windows can often resolve persistent problems, it is a drastic measure. Let's try a few workarounds first.

    1. Check for Roblox Updates_ Make sure your Roblox client is up to date. Updates often include bug fixes and performance improvements.
    2. Check Game Integrity (if applicable): Some game launchers (such as Steam, Epic Games) have a "Check Game Integrity" option. This can check for corrupted game files.
    3. Check Network Connection and Drivers
    • Restart your router and modem: A simple restart can resolve network-related issues.
    • Update Network Drivers:** Outdated drivers can cause problems. Check your device manufacturer's website for updates.
    • Test your Internet Connection: Use a speed test to make sure you have a stable connection.
    1. Clear Roblox Cache: This can help resolve issues caused by corrupted data. Look for the “Clear Cache” option in Roblox settings.
    2. Run Roblox as Administrator: Right-click on the Roblox shortcut, select “Properties,” and then check the “Run as Administrator” box.
    3. Check Roblox Server Status: There may be temporary issues with the server. Check the official Roblox website or social media for updates.

I hope this information is helpful to you. If you need further assistance, feel free to provide more details. We are here to help!
