Apple Magic Keyboard, how to use fn key on windows 11?

I used to use a macbook and have a bluetooth apple magic keyboard that I now use for my PC. It works well however, I was trying to remap some of the keys and realized that it doesn't recognize the "fn" key on the apple magic keyboard. How do I change this? The volume changes and media keys also don't work. I see that Magic Keyboard Utilities is a third-party software that can help, but I don't want to purchase a yearly license and my problems would be solved if I could just use the fn key I think.

    Hi,

I am Tanvi, and I would be happy to assist you today!

Unfortunately, there's no direct way to make the Fn essential work as it does on a Mac when using an Apple Magic Keyboard on Windows 11.

The Apple Magic Keyboard is designed primarily for macOS and may not be fully compatible with Windows. MacOS and Windows have fundamentally different key mappings and functionalities.

If you heavily rely on specific Fn key functions, investing in a keyboard designed for Windows might be the most practical solution. Windows keyboards often have dedicated media keys and other functions that align better with the operating system.
