I have the same issue, but my settings menu does not have the options to disable Game Bar or disable Screenshots. This started with the most recent update.
How to stop Microsoft Game Bar from taking screenshots?
Microsoft Game Bar takes screenshots while I'm using Steam.
I'm using a Series X controller's screenshot button.
I did not have this issue on Windows 10.

2024-08-21T10:50:39+00:00 what "Bob" replied is bullsh.... the menu options are not available, the settings are not available, ignore him as a whole.
this was happening to me on diablo 4. whenever i press 2 buttons or B button it would take a screenshot.
I went to Steam
Steam Settings
Controller
(scroll down a bit) "Xbox Extended Feature Support Driver", i had this installed, so i uninstalled it.
It told me to restart, and it restarted the pc.
I repeated same steps, pressed install this time, restart again, and issue is fixed.

2024-08-22T00:40:46+00:00 Thanks Khser, tried as you suggested but unfortunately still kept taking a screenshot every time I pushed B on the controller. Tried again just uninstalling the advanced driver from Steam and not reinstalling, same result.
Uninstalling game bar altogether using powershell finally seemed to do the trick. That is preferable anyway since I would rather not have it eating up resources in the background.

Welcome to the Microsoft Community.
Hello, thank you for your feedback here, it seems that you want to prevent the Microsoft Game Bar from taking screenshots when using Steam.
You can adjust the Game Bar settings in Windows 11. Here are the steps to do so:
Method 1: Disable Game Bar screenshots
Open Settings:
Press Win + I to open the Settings app.
Go to Game Settings:
Select “Games” in the left menu.
Access Game Bar settings:
Click on “Game Bar”.
Turn off the screenshot function:
Find the “Capture” section.
Turn off the “Screenshot” option.
Method 2: Reconfigure the screenshot shortcuts
Open Game Bar settings:
Press Win + G to open the Game Bar.
Click on “Settings” (gear icon) in the Game Bar.
Go to Shortcut Keys Settings:
Go to the “Shortcuts” tab.
Change or disable the screenshot shortcut:
Find the “Screenshot” shortcut.
Change it to a key that is less likely to be accidentally touched, or disable it completely.
Method 3: Disable Game Bar completely
If you don't use the Game Bar, you can choose to disable it completely:
Open Settings:
Press Win + I.
Go to Game Settings:
Go to the “Games” section.
Disable the Game Bar:
Turn off the “Enable Xbox Game Bar to record game clips, chat with friends, and receive game invitations” option.
Additional Steps for Steam Controllers
Open Steam Settings:
Launch Steam and click on “Steam” in the upper left corner.
Select “Settings”.
Go to Controller Settings:
Go to the “Controller” tab.
Configure the screenshot button:
Click on “General Controller Settings”.
Find your controller (Series X) and adjust the screenshot button.
