Hello Do, I'm Johrelle a fellow Windows/Microsoft user. I'm happy to assist you.
The "TPM timeout" error during Windows Autopilot enrollment can occur on both virtual machines and physical devices, typically indicating an issue with the Trusted Platform Module (TPM) or its communication with the Autopilot service.
Make sure TPM 2.0 is enabled. You can check this in the TPM Management Console "tpm.msc". Look for the "The TPM is ready for use" status.
Also, try clearing the TPM via the TPM Management Console or BIOS settings.
Thank you for replying and you're welcome!
On the first image, try relaunching the tool as the message suggested if you haven't. If you have, try running the "sfc /scannow" command in the Command Prompt as administrator. Restart afterwards.
If the "Export logs" button is functional, click it to save the logs. Send it to me, so we can further analyze additional details about the error.
As for the second image, the device preparation was successful but the setup itself failed. Look for any additional error messages or codes on the screen or in the Windows Event Viewer. These can provide more specific information about the cause of the error. Also, double-check the Autopilot profile configuration in your MDM solution to make sure it's correctly assigned and configured.
The new error code 1135200, related to a certificate issue, indicates a different problem than the previous TPM timeout. This error often occurs due to issues with the Autopilot enrollment certificate or its associated processes.
Make sure that the Autopilot enrollment certificate is not expired or revoked. You can its validity or revocation status through your MDM solution or the issuing Certificate Authority.
Also, make sure the enrollment certificate is correctly installed in the device's certificate store. You can use the "certmgr.msc" tool to view and manage certificates. Look for the certificate under Local Computer > Personal > Certificates.
Hi Johrelle,
I have tried to clear TPM many times on my VM, but badly the issue still occurred.
I have pre-provisioned the laptop, and the TPM did not happen but a new issue is faced with error code: 1135200 related to the certificate.
So May I have your advice?
Thanks!
