When does a day of screen time limit start?

To check and update the time zone for parental controls, kindly follow these steps.

1. On your son's computer, go to 'Settings'.
2. Click 'Time & Language'.
3. Select 'Date & Time' and in this section, check if the time zone is set to automatic and the time zone is set to your current local time zone.
4. If you want to change it manually, kindly turn off the 'Set time automatically' and 'Set time zone automatically' and then select the correct time zone.
5. Restart your son's computer to ensure the changes take effect.

We recently relocated from the US. I think my son’s account might be on US time zone and not local time zone. How can I check which time zone the parental control is set to?

Screen time limits usually reset at midnight (00:00) in the device's local time zone. If your son's screen time shows usage despite no activity, check that both devices are set to the correct time zone and ensure they’re synced properly. If issues persist, please check for app or system updates.

Hello. The new day starts at midnight. This is known as 12:00am Or as 24:00hrs in military time. 23:00hrs would be 11:00pm. 4 hrs is a generious time limit, to try to avoid missing time tell them to try to shutdown computer when done. If they have a 2nd device sometimes that can count towards the screen time limit. Turning on The blue light feature is nice if your device has it. It is known that a screen PC/PHONE is known to keep you from sleeping because of the light. No screens during meal time is nice to have and No screens 1 hr before bed/sleep time is recommended for best sleep.
