CVE-2024-38063 patch for Windows 11 (23H2)

I have Windows 11 (23H2) and it says OS is up to date but this particular KB5041585 patch was not on the add/remove update list or other KB related to CVE-2024-38063. Do i missing something?

    Yes, it will appear in Settings - Windows Update - Update History and in the Uninstall Updates section at the bottom.

    Ok and after installing this update does the KB would be appearing listed on the add/remove updates?

    That update is an out of band Security update released on the 13th of August, it is not the usual monthly update that was released on the 9th of August, but usually that type of update would have automatically downloaded and installed.

    Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

    If you do not have Windows dual booted with Linux, and you are missing that update, you can donwload the offline installer for KB5041585 from the Microsoft Catalog and use the offline installer to install that update.

    Hi Dave Thank you for your response. Is it normal that the operating system says my machines is up to date hence missing an important patch?
