My text on browser looks fuzzy, thin and a bit blurry

My windows recently got updated but now the texts looks kind of broken and fuzzy. It looks kind of thin as well. It was never like this. I have tried to change the font and size but it doesn't do much. It still stays the same. This only happens on the browser not on the actual laptop. I have tried to change the settings on the actual desktop and on Bing settings but no change occurs. I have attached an image, it may not look that bad since it zoomed in a bit but it is bad.

I'm glad to hear the issue is resolved for Chrome and desktop apps! Since Microsoft Edge is still displaying fuzzy text, we can try some Edge-specific solutions to address the problem:

In Edge, go to Settings > System and Performance.

Look for Use hardware acceleration when available and toggle it off.

Restart Edge after making this change.

If above isnt present, Adjust Edge Font Settings:

Edge allows you to customize its fonts:

In Edge, go to Settings > Appearance > Fonts.

From here, you can adjust the default font size, family, and weight. Try setting larger or different fonts to see if this helps resolve the fuzziness.

If it still persists, Sometimes experimental features in Edge can cause rendering issues:

Type edge://flags/ into Edge’s address bar.

Search for ClearType and try enabling/disabling any related flags.

Restart the browser to see if it improves text clarity.

You might also want to set specific scaling for Edge, similar to what you did for Chrome:

Right-click on the Edge shortcut, go to Properties, select the Compatibility tab, and adjust the High DPI settings there as you did for Chrome.

Please let me know if this works for you. I'll do my best to respond as soon as possible.

Thank you for the update. You can also try adjusting the graphics settings specifically for your browser. In Settings > System > Display, scroll down to Graphics Settings, find your browser (e.g., Chrome, Edge), and change the graphics performance preference to High Performance.

This ensures that your dedicated GPU handles the rendering

If issues still persist, Use ClearType Text Tuner: Windows has a built-in tool called ClearType, which helps improve text readability.

Search for "ClearType" in the Start menu and follow the steps to adjust the text settings to your preference.

Please let me know if this works for you. I'll do my best to respond as soon as possible.

Hello there! I am Charity, I'm an Independent Advisor. I'm glad to help you today!

I'm really sorry that this has happened to you. Please Disable Hardware Acceleration in the Browser: This is a common cause of blurry text in browsers like Chrome or Edge. To disable hardware acceleration:

For Chrome: Type chrome://settings/system in the address bar, and toggle off "Use hardware acceleration when available".

For Edge: Type edge://settings/system and do the same. Afterward, restart the browser

Please let me know if this works for you. I'll do my best to respond as soon as possible.

    Kind Regards,

    Charity (Active hours 5PM~10AM GMT+08:00)

Hi there, thank you so much for giving a suggestion but unfortunately it did not work. I searched on setting for the hardware accleration and used the link provided but there is no such thing as hardware acceleration on my device. Rather there is something called graphics acceleration. I toggled it off and restarted the browser but it still looks blurry, perhaps even worse.
