Hey, ugh... looks like there's no proper response yet, so I'll just leave this one here..
    I'm running on Windows 11 24H2; OS Build: 26100.2894

Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Touchpad > Taps > Touchpad sensitivity --> Set this to **Most Sensitive.**This one supposedly turns off Palm Rejection and enables the touchpad while keystrokes are also being made. I haven't tested the High Sensitivity mode yet but I'll leave that to you guys. I'm fine with Most Sensitive. ;)

Thanks to @PartlyDifferentiated on Reddit for the answer (I just came across it).

    Hi Nicholas,

    that was not the question.

The question was how to make the touchpad operable while using the keyboard, which has nothing to do with a connected mouse.I want to use my touchpad while tapping on keys, otherwise I can't play games.
This option is simply no longer available in Windows 11, you probably have to go into the registry somewhere to deactivate it, but where?

Dude. The option is not there in Windows 11. Not an acceptable answer. Instead of giving us a seemingly automated answer, how about you give us a real answer that ACTUALLY fixes this problem, even if it involved going into the registry or installing third-party apps.

Or better yet, GIVE US THE OPTION BACK. THERE WAS LITERALLY NO REASON TO EVEN REMOVE THAT OPTION IN THE FIRST PLACE. NONE.

I need this option so I can disable it and ACTUALLY use my damn trackpad the way I need to use it. The way it currently is, I cannot game, nor draw with this, which is a HUGE problem, because trackpad is my preferred way to draw. It was no issue in my old W10 laptop, but suddenly you guys screwed it all up.

Fix it, give me an alternative, or just let me downgrade back to Windows 10. I'm SICK of this rushed-out-the-door OS.

I can't believe buying a 1,800$ gaming pc and this is the kind of irritating problem we get with no working answer.

    Hi, Theophilus Otokhine

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

We understand that you are experiencing the problem of not being able to use the touchpad while typing. First of all, please press Windows + i to open Settings, and find the touchpad in Bluetooth and Devices to check if it is already turned on.

If it has been turned on, please click the small arrow on the right to open the sub-option, and check the "Keep touchpad on when connecting a mouse" box.

    Sincerely

Nicholas | Microsoft Community Support Specialist
