how do I reset the pin for my PC (on another device) through my Microsoft account ?

I cannot sign into windows 11 desktop. Whenever it asks for my pin it does not input letters only numbers seem to work. Therefore I cannot access account settings to reset my pin and the “forgot my pin” message has also vanished so I have no way of logging in. Other keyboards have the same problem how do I reset the pin for my PC (on another device) through my Microsoft account ?
