A few days ago Windows 11 stopped being active and it won't allow me to activate it again. During this year, some parts of my computer have been changed, the hard drive and the battery.

I attach screenshots of what appears to me. I used ShowKeyPlus to view Windows product information.![](https://learn-attachment.microsoft.com/api/attachments/32bf30cc-00c0-4008-a072-7c54b29edc34?platform=QnA

Hello, I'm Manoel Barros! I will help you in the best way possible, using my knowledge and experience.

    Your license is OEM.

Some computers come with an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) license, which is pre-installed by computer manufacturers.

    OEM License

Some computers come with an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) license, which is pre-installed by computer manufacturers.

This type of license is tied to the hardware (motherboard) of the device on which it was first activated. This means that you cannot transfer the license to another computer or change the motherboard of your computer without losing the validity of the license.

The reason you lost the license is because you changed some part of your PC that deactivated the license.

Even so, I want to try to help you. If you didn't change your motherboard or modify your BIOS, try the solutions below:

    1. Type "'Command Prompt" in the Search Bar > Right-click on the app > Select '''Run as administrator''.
    2. Now let's type the following commands.

ATTENTION: Type the entire command on the first line > Press ENTER > Wait for the command to complete > Execute the next command in the list.

    SLMGR.VBS /CPKY

    SLMGR.VBS /CKMS

    Net stop Sppsvc

    CD C:\Windows\System32\SPP\Store\2.0

    Ren Tokens.dat Tokens.old

    SLMGR.VBS /RILC

    1. Restart Windows > Check if you can activate your Windows normally.

I will be here to answer any questions or information! Review the topic if this information or troubleshootings helped you! In this way, you help other users too.

    Hello! Thanks for your feedback!

    Try these steps too:

Check for Updates - Microsoft Store

Apps from the Microsoft Store can cause activation errors. Updating the apps is a solution.

    1. Search for Microsoft Store on the taskbar and open the store > Click on ''Library'' > ''Get updates'' > Update all apps > Restart your computer.
    2. After updating and starting Windows, see if the problem is solved.

    Network Reset

Sometimes Windows cannot contact Microsoft servers. This may be a network problem. Try resetting your network settings.

    1. Press the WINDOWS + I keys to open Windows Settings > Go to “Network and Internet” > Under “Status”, click on the “Network reset” option (marked in blue).
    2. Click on "Restore now" > Wait for your computer to restart.
    • If your computer does not restart by itself after a few minutes, restart it manually.
    1. When it starts, type "'Command Prompt'" in the search bar > Right-click on the application > Select '''Run as administrator''.
    2. Now, let's type the following commands.

ATTENTION: Type the entire command on the first line > Press ENTER > Wait for the command to complete > Run the next command on the list.

    netsh winsock reset

    netsh int ip reset

    netsh advfirewall reset

    ipconfig /flushdns

    ipconfig /release

    ipconfig /renew

    1. Restart your computer.

    Repair Update

    1. Open Windows Settings by pressing the WINDOWS + I keys > Select "System" in the Side Menu > Click on the "Recovery" option.
    2. Under "Fix problems using Windows Update", click on "Reinstall Now" > Wait for the entire procedure to complete.

NOTE: This procedure may take some time depending on the computer's specifications and the number of files.

    1. If the problem persists, in Recovery, click on "Reset PC" > Keep my files > Download from the cloud > Wait for the procedure to be completed.
    • If an error occurs during the Windows download, choose the "Local Reinstall" option.

NOTE: This procedure may take a while depending on the computer specifications and number of files.

    1. After finishing, check if the problem has been resolved.

I look forward to your feedback on the issue! If your problem is solved, please review the topic so I can help other users with this issue.
