Yellow Triangle w/Exclamation Point on OS (C:) Drive

So I've been getting this on my C Drive. It usually isn't on there, but sometimes it appears and goes away, at least I think, after I put it to sleep.

I've been trying to figure out what's causing it an tried troubleshooting. I've ran my Norton antivirus on a full system scan, I've ran Error checking, etc. Nothing seems to be turning up.

I don't know what's causing this or if this is something I should be concerned about, or if this message on my C Drive is harmless, but I wonder what can make this go away. And I thought I'd ask here since this is a new laptop that I got last month.

    Hi ,

I am Ivan, I will help you with this.

This is normal, this alert is informing you that the Bitlocker on the C: drive is unlocked, sometimes this can occur during Windows updates or third-party antivirus scans.

You can check your Bitlocker status in Control Panel\System and Security\BitLocker Drive Encryption

However, normally after updates it locks itself again and thus the alert disappears.

Bitlocker is a disk drive encryption system that protects your data and creates a protection key. If you have your account linked to Microsoft, this key can be found at the link below:

    Hope this helps.

    Hi ,

Not exactly, what can happen is that BitLocker pauses or unlocks itself to install updates so that it does not request the code after restarting, after these updates it locks itself again.

You can try to activate it manually, also make sure that there are no pending updates, especially Build.

I don't think I see anywhere where I can check the BitLocker status via Control Panel -> Security and Maintenance

or Control Panel -> System, unless I'm missing something.

Other than that, do you mean this error message with yellow triangle with the exclamation point is perfectly normal and harmless and will resolve itself by the next update?
