Hi,

What is the exact model of the laptops? The change the Fn keys behavior varies from device to device. On some devices you have to change it on the BIOS setup.

I have this problem on my old Lenovo and 2024 Acer laptop. When changing my sound, brightness, mute, etc., I have to press my Fn key. I have already tried esc+Fn and that didn't fix it I have also gone to the Windows Mobility Center and it has no option to fix my problem. How do I fix this

I did something similar with my Acer. Restart, F2, go to the second tab, scroll down to the Fn function and change it.
For anyone looking at this in the future, I fixed my issue with my Lenovo laptop by: restarting it while it was restarting I hit F2 and that took me to BIOS there I enabled hotkeys. That fixed my issue.
