Please do me the courtesy of rereading my question. You have failed to note that the icon toggle does not appear in my case.. Thus I cannot do what you suggest.
Remove Mic and Notification Bell icons from right side of Taskbar, Win11
Under Personalization, neither of these icons appears as an icon that can be turned on/off. Please help, they serve no function for me in the way I choose to use Win11. Thanks

2024-10-14T08:42:29+00:00 Hello Stephen Cloughley,
The mic icon really bugs me too, and I haven't found any way to remove it, unfortunately.
However, I found that by changing the icon colour to a dark grey, it's much less noticeable and therefore bugs me a lot less! :)
See this example:
Go to Settings > Personalisation > Colours and then choose a colour that works for you:
Hope this helps a bit.

I am Tanvi, and I would be happy to assist you today!
Please follow these steps-
- Right-click on an empty area of your taskbar.
- Select "Taskbar settings."
- In the "Taskbar items" section, locate the "Microphone" and "Notification" icons.
- If you see a toggle switch next to them, simply turn them off to remove them from the taskbar.
I hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any other queries.
Good day
