Yes, that is correct, if you have now cleared out both the Quarantine and Service folders, please perform an offline scan and then check if the malware list in Defender is clear.
Cannot get delete PUA:Win32/Slimware and PUA:Win32/Presenoker
Hello everyone, I have been trying since yesterday to get rid of PUA:Win32/Slimware and PUA:Win32/Presenoker and nothing seem to be working
Updates are all up to date, I only done a quick scan but it is usually enough to clear it after start action button is pressed but not this time around...
Now i have no idea what to do. Thanks

Yes, that is correct, everything in the Quarantine folder.

Select everything in the Quarantine folder and press Delete, that will delete any files that can be deleted in that folder, ignore any files that cannot be deleted.

Rest assured booting your PC into Safe Mode does not affect your files, settings or installed software.

Here are the steps to start your PC in Safe Mode so you can empty those folders.
Click the power button on your Start menu.
Press the Shift Key and click Restart
Your PC will boot into the Windows Recovery Environment
Go to Troubleshoot - Advanced Option - Startup Settings and click Restart
Upon restart, press 5 to enter Safe Mode

Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.
1
Start Windows in Safe Mode.
Open File Explorer, then on the View menu at the top, temporarily turn on 'Hidden Items'.
Navigate to this folder: C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows Defender\Scans\History\Service
Delete the contents of that Service folder.
Navigate to this folder:
C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows Defender\Quarantine
Delete the contents of that Quarantine folder.
Close File Explorer.
2
Restart Windows in normal mode.
Open Defender and select the option to perform an offline scan, your PC will restart to perform that scan.
Then check if that malware list in Defender is clear.
