why does my fortnite keep crashing?

so basically I purchased a pc about a month ago and everything was fine I could play fortnite very smoothly no crashes or bugs then all of a sudden my fortnite kept crashing I've searched multiple solutions on how to fix it and nothing worked. I search on YouTube some people said verify the files if that doesn't work to do all these other steps I've found one solution that works for me but is very annoying and time consuming the only way my fortnite will work and not crash is if I uninstall then reinstall then boot up epic games launcher click fornite 3 dots, proceed to manage, click files then I have to do a process on deleting anti cheat redownload add repair to the link reboot then it works but the moment I close out fortnite and reopen the following day it'll crash the moment I get into the game. ANY WAY TO FIX THIS PLEASE!!!!! it is very annoying since I don't play fortnite much so when I do want to play something different I cant it is also weird that my main game is rocket league and that is owned by epic but for some odd reason it doesn't crash like fortnite does !

    I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue. As a fellow player, what has worked for me in the past whenever I encounter crashing issues in the game is disabling high resolution textures. Kindly check if you have High Resolution Textures enabled as well. If yes, then try turning this off and see if it resolves the issue. Close the game first, then open the Epic Games launcher > click on Library > Right click on Fortnite and select Options > Uncheck 'High Resolution Textures'. Also, ensure that 'Pre-download Streamed Assets' is checked. Click Apply and then restart the game.

    Right away the game started updating AGAIN. But it didn't work. Its still crashing on startup. It all started after Fortnite updated itself on my PC in the first place. (December 2024). Constantly updating. So annoying. 10 minutes down time every other day. I'm ready to give up. never mind. After this reply I'm calling it quits. Fun game, but too much aggravation to be bothered with. between YouTube, this post, AND Fortnite recommendations, nothing worked. Nevertheless I have to hit my opponent 10 times with a golden gun but all they have to do is hit me twice and my player is finished. I think Epic Games gives advantages to paying customers or something. too much aggravation. Thank you anyway.
