Asus laptop stuck in boot loop; can't access BIOS

Hi,

I have an issue with a Asus UX3405M Zenbook laptop that up until now was working just fine and is just a few months old is stuck in a boot loop when starting.

The keyboard flashes, the logo animation play, the screen goes black for a few seconds and it starts again over and over with no way of stopping it or impacting anything other that to let it sit there unplugged for hours until the battery dies (which I did, and it the loop restarted as soon as I plugged it back in).

The whole thing started while I was just browsing the web : a Windows blue screen appeared briefly (to quickly to read, the computer shut itself off and the loop started).

Pressing F2 continuously or spamming it doesn't do anything, same for Delete, Escape, F1 or F9, so I can't access the BIOS.

I haven't taken a look at the inside of the laptop and would rather not if possible as it voids the warranty which I may need considering the issue.

I can't find anything to help online or from Asus support so I'm turning to the forums, though I'm not sure this is actually a Windows issue.

Here’s a short solution to try for fixing your Asus laptop boot loop and accessing the BIOS:

    1. Hard Reset the Laptop:

    • Turn off your laptop by holding the power button for 10-15 seconds.
    • Unplug the charger and any peripherals (mouse, USB drives, etc.).
    • Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds to fully discharge the laptop.
    • Wait 1-2 minutes, then plug it back in and try turning it on again.

    2. Try Different Key for BIOS:

    • Right after turning on the laptop, hold the F2 key continuously until the ASUS logo appears, or try pressing it rapidly multiple times.
    • If that doesn't work, try other keys like **Esc**, **F10**, or **Del**.

    3. Use BIOS Recovery Mode:

    • Turn off the laptop.
    • **Press and hold the Ctrl + Home keys**, then press the power button. This can force a BIOS recovery on some ASUS laptops.

    4. Try an External Keyboard:

    • Plug in an external USB keyboard and use it to access the BIOS (press F2 continuously after powering on).

    5. Power Cycle the Laptop:

-Let the battery drain completely by leaving the laptop on without plugging it in.

    • After the battery dies, **wait 15 minutes**, then plug it in and turn it on again.

If none of these work, the laptop might have a hardware issue, and using your warranty would be the next best option.
