Hello there! I am Charity, I'm an Independent Advisor. I'm glad to help you today!

My apologies about that. If your monitor is displaying 144Hz in its settings but your PC is capping the refresh rate at 120Hz, there could be a few possible reasons:

If you are using an HDMI cable, it might not support the full 144Hz refresh rate. Make sure you are using a high-speed HDMI cable (HDMI 1.4 or better) or a DisplayPort cable. Some monitors restrict the refresh rate to 120Hz when connected via HDMI. Switching to a properly certified DisplayPort cable can resolve this issue.

Check the refresh rate settings on your PC. Go to Settings > System > Display > Advanced Display Settings > Display Adapter Properties > Monitor Tab and ensure that 144Hz is selected from the drop-down menu. Some monitors also have their own on-screen settings to switch between refresh rates.

If it's 144 in the Display settings, it's possibly that the game has fixed your FPS into 120hz.

Please let me know if this works for you. I'll do my best to respond as soon as possible.

    Kind Regards,

    Charity (GMT+08:00)

Please note that things might need more than one reply to completely resolve your issue, as it will completely depend on the complexity of the question and the amount of detail that you have provided me.
