Why was my i3 6100u hp laptop locked out of windows 11 update

My hp i3 6100u laptop was locked out of windows 11 update I had to do a clean install. The laptop is performing very well with no problem whatsoever. My laptop meets all the windows 11 requirements apart from being an old processor. It also has 16gb ram.

    i3 6100U does not support officially Windows 11.

    Specifically check this:

    Processor: 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster with two or more cores on a compatible 64-bit processor or system on a chip (SoC).
