I want to install the Edirol UA 25 driver on my Windows 11.

The most current driver for this audio interface is for Windows 8.1. I have tried installing it in various ways but have not been successful. I saw some tutorials on YouTube that involve installing this driver manually, but the device must not have any driver installed; it must show the "warning" and be in the "Other devices" tab. However, even after uninstalling the drivers through Windows or any other program, every time I connect it, Windows adds and recognizes the interface as a Generic USB Audio device, and I cannot prevent the installation of this generic driver.

I have already tried:

  • Uninstalling through Device Manager
  • Disabling through Regedit
  • Disabling through Windows Update, instructing it not to install drivers from there

Please help me. I just want to prevent Windows from automatically adding any generic drivers to this device so that I can try to install the community-provided driver.

    With the system installation CD or windows XP is included.

    To install UA-25 driver for windows 7 use the driver download from EDIROL home page.
    For windows 64 use the UA_25_win7_x64_v100

    To install driver on windows 11 do following:
    Download the UA_25_win7_x64_v100 and the UA_25_win_vista_x64 driver.

    Go to the UA_25_win7_x64_v100 and run the setup.exe.
    When the setup asks you to connect the USB cable to UA-25 do NOT connect the USB cable.
    Cancel installation. When the setup asks you to uninstall the setup use the “No”.

    Use the Open the “Device manager” (windows system -> Control panel-> device manager).

    Then inset the USB cable to the UA-25. The UA-25 icon will be displayed in the device manager.

    Right click on the UA-25 icon and use the update driver tab.

    Select the folder you have saved the UA-25_win_vista_x64. Include subfolder.

    Then run the installation.
    The installation is now completed.

    Thank you. this was a great help! I was able to install the driver on three different Windows 11 machine in an easier way though.

    BEFORE DOING ANYTHING MAKE SURE YOUR ADVANCE DRIVER SWITCH ON THE BACK OF THE UNIT IS SET TO ON, OTHERWISE YOU COULD GET THE BSOD

    First, plug in the UA-25. You will hear the USB ding, but the unit will not light up. Then follow the instructions above, amended as follows:

    Open the “Device manager” (windows system -> Control panel-> device manager).

    The UA-25 icon will be displayed in the device manager.

    Right click on the UA-25 icon and use the update driver tab.

    Select the folder you have saved the UA-25_win_vista_x64. Include subfolder.

    Then run the installation.

    That's it.

    There was no need for me to do this:

    I hope this helps somone, like I said it worked flawlessly on 3 different W11 machines for me and with 2 different UA-25 units. You can also use UA-25 EX drivers (they seem to work without issue) but there's really no point given that it's easy to get the UA-25 driver to work.

    Hi, I have a window 11 and i try to install Eridol-UA 25 Driver.

    I did exactly the same thing as in the video, and it doesn't work with my PC. I tried it with another PC, and the same thing happened. Once in the Device Manager, I get a message saying that Windows found the driver but encountered a problem installing it. I tried several times, and nothing worked.

    Just hooked up my ancient-shelf-sitting-no-driver UA25 to a Win 11 laptop, followed your instructions, plugged in my headphones - and it works again! Thanx so much.
