I click on the Lock Screen, it takes me to the page where I click ‘sign in’. I click ‘sign in’ and it takes me back to the Lock Screen. I have done nothing to, nor installed anything new to my computer. Please help!

    Thank you!

    Problem seemed to fix itself?!

After I sent the previous note, I restarted my computer (seemingly for the 100th time). I was not staring at my screen the full time but it appeared to skip the Lock Screen and went directly to the sign in screen. I clicked sign in and it took a bit longer than usual, but it allowed me to enter my password and let me log in.

Happy it is working, but nervous it will happen again. I will keep your post saved just in case. Thanks again.

    Hello Michael,

    Good Day!!

I am Ramya , here to help you out Today.

    I apologize for the inconvenience.

    Please Try possible fixes below.

    1. Restart your System.

    2.Use Ctrl + Alt + Delete

Pressing these keys together can sometimes bring up the sign-in screen properly. If it works, you should be able to log in.

    1. Boot in Safe Mode

    >Restart your computer and hold the Shift key while it boots up.

    >Select Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Settings > Restart.

    >Once your computer restarts, select Safe Mode.

    >Log in and see if the issue persists.

4.Run sfc /scannow After entering the SafeMode.

    5.Install all windows Updates.

Settings>Update & Security > Windows Update > click Check for Update

I hope this helps. Please let me know how it goes.

    Thanks,

    Ramya

When I restart in safe mode, this error comes up. I tried safe mode with and without network.
