I can't screen from my laptop to my roku tv, why?

My laptop cannot screen to my Roku TV. It discovers the roku tv, but when it can never connect. I've restarted both the roku and laptop, made sure everything was updated on both ends. Up until a day ago it was working fine, then midway using the screen mirroring feature it stopped. Since then I've been unable to screen from my laptop to my tv. I removed my laptop from the devices allowed screen on roku, and tried again. Now it won't even display as discoverable. I've called Roku and it's not on there end. I can still screen using my phone. But when I try to screen on my laptop, not only does it not connect, it doesn't appear on my roku screen as discoverable. Please help. I am running windows 11 pro

    Hi,

    There might be a communication issue between your laptop and the Roku TV, possibly related to the network or a Windows setting.

    Check Network Settings

    • Same Wi-Fi Network- Please ensure your laptop and Roku TV are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. Sometimes, devices connected to different bands (2.4 GHz vs. 5 GHz) may need to communicate properly.
    • Private Network- Ensure your laptop’s Wi-Fi network is set to "Private" in Windows settings. To check this:
      • Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Wi-Fi.
      • Select your network, and make sure it’s marked as Private.

    **** The wireless display feature may have been disabled or corrupted. Try reinstalling or enabling it-

    • Open Settings > Apps > Optional Features.
    • Scroll down and find Wireless Display. If it’s not installed, click Add a feature and install it.
    • You can remove and reinstall it to refresh the feature if it's already installed.
