How do I select the external camera for Windows Hello?

I have an HP laptop that runs Windows 11. Most of the time, it is connected to a large screen HP monitor that has an integrated camera and the laptop itself running with the lid closed. I have had Windows Hello set up to use the monitor camera for my sign in. But last week, I had to unplug my laptop from the monitor to take it with me on a trip. Ever since I got back and plugged my laptop back into the monitor, it is no longer using the monitor camera for Windows Hello. How do I tell it to please use monitor camera instead of making me open the laptop back up to use that camera?

I successfully as far as Accounts>Sign-in Options.

I click the down arrow to the right of Facial recognition (Windows Hello). The options I have are "Improve recognition" and "Remove". There are no options to choose which camera to use for Windows Hello. I tried the "Improve recognition" option, and all it did was retake my picture, there was no option to specify which camera to use.

You have to enable ESS Enhanced Sign-In Security in your BIOS/UEFI. After enabling BIOS/UEFI, the toggle switch to enable the use of a external camera is available in account Sign-In Settings on Windows. Be aware it loses your biometric data. You have to set up facial recognition again.
