How do you get 1440P @120hz on Xbox Series X to work?

I recently bought a Dell G2724D Gaming Monitor - 27-Inch QHD (2560x1440) 165Hz. I have tried to activate 120 hertz and 1440 resolution but have not been able to do so I tried many different HDMI and DP cables but nothing has worked. I also tried to go into the menu options for the monitor and change it; however there was no option to do so in the settings.

The issue was I was sent the E2723HN instead of the G2724D; therefore, I am unable to do any of the steps mentioned earlier.
According to your Dell G2724D Monitor User’s Guide on page56, the monitor needs to be in Console Mode.
For more information, I recommend that you ask in the Dell Community Forum's monitor forum.
Hi,Conner G Boudreaux
Welcome to the Microsoft Community
We understand your issue with not being able to activate the resolution and refresh rate.
Allow me to explain to you that the refresh rate and the resolution are matched in pairs and cannot be changed individually, you can check this in your PC: press ‘Win + i’ -> ‘System’ -> ‘Display’ -> ‘Advanced display’ -> ‘Display adapter properties for Display1’ -> ‘List All Modes’
Next, make sure that both your graphics card and DP cable support the desired refresh rate and resolution.
In addition, I have some other methods that may help you
Change the refresh rate on your monitor in Windows - Microsoft Support
If the above solutions don't work, please try to contact Dell staff for assistance, thank you for your understanding.
If i misunderstand your situation , please feel free to correct me and share more information.
