Reset my Hp laptop

How long does this process usually take?

I was trying to reset my laptop by myself, and it's been one hour since this blue screen appears.

I did choose to keep my files and then choose to 'install windows from this device'.

I'm not sure about the second one, could it be that I don't have the windows program in my laptop? so this process take forever?

I've tried to force shut down my laptop too by pressing the on-off button, and it came back to this state.

Please help what should I do.

Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

A Widows Reset may take up to 2 - 3 hours to complete, depending on the amount of data on the drive.

It would be best to leave that part of the process for another hour to see if it can complete successfully, interrupting a Windows reset can corrupt the Windows installation on the drive, usually it will complete successfully or the reset will roll back automatically.

You shouldn't force power off and on your laptop during a reset.

Did you use local or cloud reset?

And a factory reset takes between 30 minutes to a couple of hours.

If you can, try powering off-on your HP laptop for a few times until it prepares Automatic Repair or says Diagnosing your PC, On the Choose an option screen, press Troubleshoot, Reset your PC and choose your choices and redo the reset and let it reset while charged and do not interrupt or turn the laptop off while its resetting.

If the reset fails, then Grab a fully empty USB Stick with 8 GB, In a working PC, download the Media Creation Tool ( Link: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10 ), Run MediaCreationTool.exe, follow the steps to make the USB bootable, after it is done, Eject and remove the USB, Boot the HP PC from the by inserting the USB, Before the HP logo appears, repeatedly press F9 or ESC for the Boot Menu and choose your USB Device if shown, Once your in the installation menu, choose your language, currency and keyboard layout and follow the steps to reinstall windows.
