Easy Anti-Cheat Untrusted System File

Every time I launch any video game that uses Easy Anti Cheat, the game closes shortly after launching and a message appears saying that there is an untrusted system file. The message says: "Untrusted system file (\?\GLOBALROOT\Device\HarddiskVolume3\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\nmvdig.inf_amd64_23954e33c8a39da4\nvrtum64.dll)

I have used the command prompt to repair windows files, only for the sfc SCANNOW imput to result in a message saying that there are corrupt files it cannot repair and directing me to CBS logs for offline repairs.

Please help, I just wanted to play Halo on a friday night.

Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

That file is not a system file, it is associated to the Nvidia graphics drivers, this has been been reported previously, usually uninstalling the Nvidia drivers and re-instilling them should resolve that error with the Easy anti-cheat.

Completely remove the current Nvidia device driver using the widely available free DDU utility, then restart your PC and go to the Nvidia website to download and install a couple of slightly older version of the Nvidia device driver to try to find a version that is stable on your system.

A slightly older version of that driver is more stable than the latest version.

    Hello.
I am getting this error randomly (not every time when I launch Hunt Showdown game), but, I am using AMD GPU, not nvidia. Driver version is 24.9.1
    Any suggestion?
    Thank you

    Thank you Dave,

I did reinstall my Nvidia drivers and restarted my computer, that has solved my issues.
