How to create new directory in C:\ drive

Just started a python coding course. How do I create a new directory in C:\ drive. Using windows 11 laptop. Right clicking gives option of new folder only.

    Hello, this is Emily.

    Directory is the same as folder. Typically in coding, including in Command Prompt, instead of using the term "folder", it would use "directory". They are the same.
