Hi, I own Minecraft Bedrock but can’t access Java. Despite following support's steps, it still asks me to buy both versions. I’m frustrated—please help me resolve this. Thank you!

Hi,

I’m having an issue with accessing Minecraft Java Edition, even though I already own Bedrock. I bought Bedrock before the two versions were bundled together. I’ve tried multiple ways to resolve this, like contacting support, watching tutorials, and searching online, but nothing has worked.

The support team sent me instructions to claim the other version for free since both are now sold as one.

However, when I log into my Microsoft account (the one I used to buy Bedrock), it still asks me to purchase both Java and Bedrock, even though I already own Bedrock. I don’t want to pay for it again.

This has been frustrating because I’m eager to play multiplayer and explore the mods available for Java Edition. Can you help me resolve this issue?

Thank you!

    Hey Teoman!

Nice to meet you! I'm Darhyl, an Independent Advisor. I'm sorry you are experiencing this on Minecraft.

Just a gentle reminder that we are only Microsoft users like you here in the community. We are not Microsoft employees and we do not have tools to access any Microsoft System.

Kindly try to perform the following workarounds according to the official Mojang Support: https://help.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/articles/44...

"Ensure you have logged into the correct Microsoft Account that purchased Minecraft. You can locate your Microsoft Account on the Microsoft Help Page. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/account-bil...

    Other possible issues could be:

Your launcher is out of date. Update via Settings > About or re-download the Minecraft Launcher. https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/download

You purchased Minecraft under a different email address, or the email address has been changed. Be sure to check your account page to verify your purchase of Minecraft. https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/login?return_ur...

Your purchase was refunded. In this case, you will have received an email from Minecraft and will need to re-purchase the game from the Minecraft Store. https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/store/min...

You just purchased Minecraft while the account was logged into the launcher, or you have not yet chosen a Java profile name. Be sure to restart your launcher and re-try.

Make sure your system meets the system requirements. https://help.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/articles/44... "

If the issue persists, I highly recommend you reach out to Mojang Support for further assistance as they have the tools and resources to properly investigate this case:

Thank you for your kindness and understanding! Please feel free to let me know if you need anything else.
