In the future, please put the "disclaimer" after number 2.

It is not a good idea to tell someone how to change the registry before warning them to back up the registry before making the changes described in number 3.

This is ridiculous. I literally have to change the registry because the sign in settings obviously DO NOT WORK!

    This is more BS.

So I was having the same issue of my screen was constantly going black on me and then proceeding to log me out so I did some looking around. Here's the steps I took to get my screen to stop locking itself on me, I hope it helps.

    1. Go to settings.
    2. Go to Personalization.
    3. Go to Lock Screen.
    4. Scroll down to and click on "Screen saver settings".
    5. In Screen saver settings change how long the wait time is, mine was set to 1 minute, once I changed it to 30 minutes it stopped locking itself on me.
    6. Additionally, if you'd like to, you can uncheck the box that says "On resume, display logon screen" then it won't lock you screen unless you tell it to do so.

After doing these steps my screen no longer goes black on me until the 30 minutes is up, I do keep the box checked as I do have things I don't want some people to be able to see. Hope this helps solve your problem!!
