Yes, it's a TRRS jack and I've allowed the microphone to everything.
It works fine with my PlayStation controllers.

I'm using a JBL Quantum 100 headset, and the microphone is not working. I've looked up solutions, but they are not helping. The specific solution that is not helping is having me go into the control panel and into the record tab to set my headset to default, but my headset is not there. I can hear everything just fine but cannot record audio. In the setting my headset is not an option for input. I've also used different jacks to see if they work but to no avail. Sorry if confuses anyone I'm not too good at explaining things.

Hi, I’m Vinay. Thanks for reaching out.
I’m here to help you today.
You can do it in Settings - System - Sound - Under Input, check if there is JBL Quantum 100 microphone. If not, it may not be detected by your computer.
I hope this resolves your issue! If you have any queries, please let me know.
If your computer has separate jacks for headphones and microphone, it’s a bit different. The JBL Quantum 100 uses a single 3.5mm TRRS jack, which combines both audio and mic functions. To make it work, you’ll need a TRRS to dual 3.5mm adapter (splitter). This adapter separates the audio and mic functions—just plug each end into the correct jack on your computer, and your microphone should be detected.
Hope this clears things up!
If the basic checks didn’t solve it, the issue might be driver-related or need some system setting adjustments. Try these steps:
Even though you’ve already checked in the Control Panel, try going to Settings > System > Sound and look under Input. If your headset isn’t listed, try disconnecting and reconnecting it or restarting your PC to see if it helps detect the mic.
Just to confirm—does your computer have only one 3.5mm TRRS combo jack instead of separate jacks for headphones and microphone?
Since this is common on newer devices, let’s start with a couple of steps to see if we can get the microphone working:
