    Dear Kamil Łukaszczyk,

Thank you for providing detailed information about your system specifications and the issue you're facing with games crashing on DirectX 12 and sometimes on DirectX 11.

It's good to hear that the games worked fine in the past, which suggests that the issue might be related to recent changes in software or drivers.

Let's go through several diagnostic and troubleshooting steps to resolve the problem.

Step 1: Update Graphics Drivers. Ensure you have the latest graphics drivers installed.

    • Visit the NVIDIA GeForce Drivers page.
    • Enter your graphics card details (e.g., NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080) and download the latest Game Ready Driver.
    • Run the downloaded driver installer.
    • Choose Custom Installation and check the option Perform a clean installation.
    • Follow the prompts to complete the installation.

Step 2: Reinstall DirectX. Reinstalling DirectX can resolve issues with corrupted files.

Step 3: Perform a Clean Boot

    • Press Win + R, type msconfig and press Enter.
    • In the System Configuration window, go to the Services tab.
    • Check Hide all Microsoft services, and then click Disable all.
    • Go to the Startup tab and click Open Task Manager.
    • Disable all startup items.
    • Close Task Manager and click OK in the System Configuration window.
    • Restart your computer and check if the problem persists.

Disclaimer: A “clean boot” starts Windows with a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. It helps to determine whether a background service is interfering with your game or program and to isolate the cause of a problem.
These steps of "clean boot" might look complicated at first glance. However, to avoid any trouble for you, please follow them in order and step-by step so that it will help you get back on track.

Please follow these steps and let me know if the issue is resolved or if you need further assistance. If problems persist, providing detailed error logs or crash reports can help diagnose the issue further.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation.

    Best Regards,

Martin | Microsoft Community Support Specialist
