Hello, I'm Jan and I'm happy to help you today. I'm sorry that you are experiencing this problem. Most likely caused by the graphics driver or display settings, or it can be a Display/HDMI cable problem.
- Roll back the graphics drivers.
Press Windows Key + X
select Device Manager
Expand Display Adapter
select your Graphics Card
then roll back the driver.
If the rollback option is greyed out, Uninstall the driver
then restart your computer.
Open Windows Update then click check for update.
This will download and reinstall the needed display drivers,
- Clean and install the graphics driver.
Download the latest or the older version of the graphics driver.
Select Custom Install
Then select the Clean Installation option.
Once installed, restart the computer.
If that didn't work try another version of the graphics driver.
- Then try to check again the display settings.
Right-click on your desktop background
Select Display settings.
Under "Choose Display"
select the monitor on the list
Under Display Information
Click the Display Adapter properties for Display
click Adapter Tab
Click List All modes
From the list select the native resolution and supported refresh rate of the monitor
Scroll down then select Advance display settings.
Ensure that the refresh rate matches the monitor's supported refresh rate.
- If that doesn't work. In most cases, the Display/HDMI cable is the cause of this display resolution problem. Try using another HDMI /display cable.
