For a couple of days my computer has been freezing after a games of League of Legends. I looked in the system logs to see why the computer would freeze but I still couldn't figure it out. I searched it up and tried a couple of solutions like reinstalling the Riot Vanguard but the computer still froze after a single game. I've played other games like Overwatch, Valorant, and Clone Hero all of which work fine.

If anyone would be able to send some advice or solutions that would be great!

    Hey!

Since you helped ProffeeP out, and hopefully solved his issue. Could you have a look at mine event-log as well? My computer freezez from time to time when I finish a League of Legends game, also sometimes when I load the game which is very frustrating.

    Thanks in advance! :)

Thanks for the help, I'll be going to try and find out what's causing the issue over the next couple of days. It might take a bit as I don't know how to recreate the issue as it mostly just happened with League of Legends and once on it's own.

Hi, thanks for the detailed information, as per checking and analyzing the event files you have, there are general errors on the event files, moreover kindly follow the steps below for us to fix the issue:

We need to run a Clean installation of the Nvidia driver, this is different from doing DDU or updating the driver as this will remove all entries and replace them with compatible ones, kindly follow the steps from the link below:

    Method 2. Do clean boot:

A “clean boot” starts Windows with a minimal set of drivers and startup programs, so that you can determine whether a background program is interfering with your game or program.

    • In the search box on the taskbar, type msconfig and select System Configuration from the results.
    • On the Services tab of System Configuration, select Hide all Microsoft services, and then select Disable all.
    • On the Startup tab of System Configuration, select Open Task Manager.
    • Under Startup in Task Manager, for each startup item, select the item and then select Disable.
    • Close Task Manager.
    • On the Startup tab of System Configuration, select OK. When you restart the computer, it's in a clean boot environment.

    Hey,

    Thanks for reaching out quickly.

It also happened right after I posted the question. I was just watching Youtube and talking with a friend on Discord, which I do all the time while also playing a game. Usually the audio cuts out first then everything will freeze up afterwards.

My GPU is a 2080TI that I got refurbished when I built the PC a few years ago. The drivers are all up to date with the latest NVIDIA drivers. I have also tried to scan my window files through the command prompt, it said that it fixed a corrupted file but the issues is still occurring. When the freeze happens I have to force shutdown my PC.

Let me know if there is anything else that is needed.

Hi, thanks for reaching out. My name is Bernard a Windows fan like you. I'll be happy to help you out today, my timezone is UTC +8.

I understand the issue you have, there is nothing to worry I am here to help, this issue happens when there are unnecessary third-party services that interrupt the process of the system or there is a miscalibration with the GPU driver, in addition, can you please check the System logs on the PC so that we can further examine what is the root cause of the issue?

To do this kindly follow the steps from this link:

Then please upload it by following the steps from the link.

Additional note: Please let me know the make and model of your GPU driver as we may need to run a clean installation of the display.

Let me know how it goes and I hope that helps.
