Cleanup: In C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Temp I have 30 GB... how can I safely delete that? DiskCleanup (all items ticked) can save only LESS than 1 GB !

DiskCleanup DOES NOT appear to cleanup this folder C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Temp

Since the path has the word Temp in its name - therefore I assume only stores temporary files that could be deleted at some point? Right?
To safely delete ... do I have to boot to DOS and manually delete? I haven't used the command prompt in ages and hope there is a simple solution.
P.S. 30 GB is a lot .... computer is only 2 year old.... glad I found that folder ... can't image how big it grew on my old computer I was using for 10 years!
P.P.S. I don't think most of the files in that folder are used any more... since it is roughly the same size after a reboot, i.e. when no programs have run yet (I doubt startup apps themselves generate 30GB of temp/temporary data on bootup !!! )

    Thanks worked ... I had to skip 1/2 dozen directories.... but went from 32 GB to 20 MB
    I am scared so I did a restart... deleted,, did another restart, tried my regular programs. All still worked.

    Löschen Sie einfach alle Dateien und Ordner vom Explorer. Nicht alle Dateien und Ordner werden gelöscht, da sie möglicherweise verwendet werden.

    Just delete all files and folders from explorer. Not all files and folders will be deleted because they may be in use.
