    Dear EmilyMJ!

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community!

Don't worry, I will help you solve the problem together.

Hello! According to your description, your keyboard may have the following problems:

    1. Hardware failure: There may be a circuit board failure inside the keyboard or a key stuck, resulting in continuous input.
    2. Driver problem: There may be a problem with the keyboard driver.
    3. Software conflict: Some software may be running in the background and affecting the normal use of the keyboard.

    Here are some possible solutions:

    Hardware check

    1. Check if the keyboard is damaged: Check if the keyboard has obvious physical damage, such as liquid penetration, debris under the keycaps, etc.
    2. Try another keyboard: If possible, try connecting another keyboard to your computer to see if the problem persists. If another keyboard works properly, your keyboard may need to be repaired or replaced.

    Driver and software check

    1. Update the keyboard driver:
    • Open the "Device Manager" (you can access it by right-clicking the "Start" button and selecting "Device Manager").
    • Find the keyboard device, right-click and select "Update Driver".
    • Select "Search automatically for updated driver software".
    1. Disable Fast Startup:
    • Sometimes the Fast Startup feature may cause the driver to load incorrectly.
    • Search and open "Control Panel" > "Hardware and Sound" > "Power Options" in the search bar.
    • Select "Choose what the power button does" on the left.
    • Click "Change settings that are currently unavailable".
    • Uncheck "Turn on fast startup (recommended)".
    • Click "Save changes".
    1. Run System Restore:
    • If you have made changes to your system recently, you can try to restore it to its previous state.
    1. Check for software conflicts:
    • Close all unnecessary programs and services to see if the problem persists.
    • You can try to start your computer in safe mode (press F8 at startup). If the keyboard works properly in safe mode, there may be a software conflict.
    1. Try the on-screen keyboard:
    • Click "Settings" > "Accessibility" > "Keyboard", pull down to find the on-screen keyboard, select Open, and try to use the on-screen keyboard to input to determine whether it is garbled input method or other software errors.
    1. Virus scan:
    • Use antivirus software to perform a full scan to rule out problems caused by viruses or malware.

If none of the above steps can solve the problem, your keyboard may need professional repair or replacement. If the keyboard is still under warranty, it is recommended to contact the manufacturer or seller for repair or replacement.

Before doing anything, please make sure to back up important data in case of any accidents. I hope these suggestions can help you solve the problem! If you have other questions, please continue to consult.

    Best regards,
